Natural Fertilizers

We have a selection of natural fertilizers with no chemical additives that are available in our store (yes we can ship). Greensand, bat guano, seabird guano, alfalfa meal, soft rock phosphate, and a multi-purpose vegan mix. These are available in our store in sizes ranging from 6lb boxes to 50lb bags. We also sell liquid micronutrients, and endo/ecto-mycorrhizal innoculant (2oz, 8oz and 5lb). Mycorrhizae form important symbiosis with most plants, and can greatly aid plants in nutrient uptake, and aid in reducing drought stress.

Why Natural Fertilizers?
Conventional fertilizers frequently pollute waterways with excessive nitrogen and phosphorous, are are petroleum based. Conventional fertilizers can be detrimental to soil organisms.

For optimal soil health, and to reduce reliance on fertilizers, it is wise to compost plant residues and kitchen scraps, and rotate plants to different areas, with nitrogen fixing legumes being alternated periodically to increase nitrogen. Rotating crops also reduces pest and disease problems, and makes your garden a haven for natural predatory insects, birds and bats.
