The desired countertop thickness can be achieved by using a single sheet, or for a thicker countertop two bamboo sheets can be glued together. For example, a 1.5 inch thick countertop can be constructed by pairing two 3/4 inch bamboo plywood sheets (or 1inch and 1/2 inch sheets) together. The exposed end-grain on these bamboo sheets make for an interesting visual texture. Bamboo plywood is an easy-to-cut plywood, with all the qualities preserved. The marvel of bamboo plywood is its fantastic strength, beauty, and versatility.
