The Natural Abode currently offers renewable energy parts and systems for the do-it-yourselfer. We are able to perform site evaluations, design systems, sell solar electric components and systems, and assist in setting up an installation of a renewable energy system.
Heating and cooling is usually the most intensive use of energy in a structure. In new construction, heating is perhaps one of the most critical considerations in overall energy use for a building. The need to actively cool a building can often be eliminated or greatly reduced, if the building is well insulated and takes advantage of breezes and shading from deciduous trees, with thermal mass incorporated into the design.
